Enid Haupt Conservatory Tunnel Exhibit
New York Botanical Garden
Bronx, New York

C&G Partners commissioned by the Garden to create an image-driven exhibit about six of their on-site botanists and scientists for a subterranean passageway connecting their rainforest and desert-climate greenhouses.  As a connector between two radically different  simulated environments, the tunnel itself is made from rugged corrugated iron to withstand the changes in temperature and moisture at its entry points.  Eight durable, customized LED light-boxes were used for the display, which also foregrounds the Garden’s academic holdings within the onsite Mertz Library, as well as the six botanists’ research efforts at far-flung locations throughout the world.
